Woodland Gardens spans across 8 hectares of picturesque fields, forests, and gardens, with each cottage featuring a large, enclosed garden for the utmost privacy. You'll love watching your furry friend roam freely and enjoy the abundant running space available in the lodge. Your dog can play fetch in our large field or take a short leisurely stroll around the lodge to stretch their legs.
With access to the property next door, our guests can enjoy a scenic walk around their millie field (*seasonal - please ask for the gate keys). You can explore the nearby town by taking a hike along the established and marked trails that lead to the surrounding mountains.
Off-site Pet-Friendly attractions
Located just 12 km from our premises, the greater Magalies area boasts a variety of restaurants, with a few pet-friendly options. The Joynery restaurant and second-hand shop welcomes pets and is conveniently situated right in town, just 15 km away. For magnificent views and an excellent hiking experience, we recommend checking out the Noble Village restaurant located just 20 km from us.
The Thachwood bar, only 15 km from us, is also pet-friendly and a great place to visit with your furry friend. Our Happy Yappers country store vintage shop, which donates all funds to local dog shelters, is also located in town and only 12 km from us.
To avoid any inconvenience, we highly suggest giving attractions in Magaliesburg a call to check their opening hours before visiting.
PET POLICY
Our pet policy at Woodland Gardens is to welcome large and small dogs without any additional charge. However, we do require all guests to add a R 300 refundable deposit for breakages. We invoice guests if any major damage needs repair, such as torn up cushions or chewed furniture. We kindly ask that only social, well-socialised dogs visit us, as they will be encountering our pets and other dogs while running around. Trained-to-attack or security dogs are not permitted. We also discourage barkers.
Finally, we ask that all guests bring extra old towels or throws to protect bed edges, cane furniture cushions, and sleeper couches. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our place clean and comfortable for both pets and their owners.
