There are a variety of hiking routes directly accessible from Tegwaan – from a short and easy 3.5km/1h loop to more strenuous 10km/3h options.
If your dogs like swimming, our ponds will keep them happy for hours.
PET POLICY
At Tegwaan Country Getaway, dogs are permitted at the discretion of management and must be kept under control at all times.
An extra charge of R60 per dog per night applies (R30 per night for the campsite).
Dogs are allowed inside the units, but not on beds or couches. An extra cleaning fee will be charged if we find dog hair or paw prints on the sheets, blankets for couches.
Please make sure your dogs don’t harass or attack our staff, guests or other dogs. (This includes excessive barking.) We kindly request that owners pick up after their dogs around the accommodations. Owners take full responsibility for any damage or injury caused by their pets. Management reserves the right to charge an extra fee to cover related expenses such as repair or replacement of damaged items, compensation, medical expenses, admin fees or other fees).
There are no breed restrictions, but please let us know how social your dogs are so we can recommend a specific unit according to the presence of other dogs on the property.
The Pine Cottage is more secluded and therefore more suitable for guests with dogs needing more space or distance from other dogs.
Our glamping unit, Secret Garden, has a stone wall enclosure but does not prevent medium or big dogs from jumping over. While we have our own well-behaved dogs on the property, none of the units are fenced off.
