KLIPHUIS
Welcome to Kliphuis, situated within 20 hectares of its own land in the heart of Tankwa National Park. Kliphuis stands as one of the few pet-friendly self-catering units in this remarkable area. Positioned atop the awe-inspiring Gannaga Pass, it offers a glimpse into the breathtaking landscapes of the Northern Cape of South Africa.
Situated 28 kilometers from Middelpos along the dirt road connecting Ceres and Sutherland, Kliphuis immerses you in the diverse ecosystems of Tankwa National Park. While the park may not boast the big five, it teems with diverse flora and fauna, offering a unique Karoo experience both above and below the Gannaga Pass.
This stone cottage, located 890 meters from the main farm building, ensures privacy and space, ideal for those with reactive dogs. Equipped with a gas stove, kitchen essentials, a cozy fireplace, and a porch braai, it serves as the ultimate weekend escape. Bedrooms feature crisp white linen, towels, electric blankets, heaters, and fans, ensuring comfort in every season. For dining options, guests can visit the Gannaga Lodge restaurant and bar facilities. Warm water is provided via a donkey system, ensuring an eco-friendly and rustic experience reminiscent of maritime traditions.
PET POLICY
We welcome up to 4 dogs of any size to Kliphuis. While individual fences are not provided, the expansive surroundings offer ample space for dogs to roam safely. You are literally in the middle of no where, with no other dogs around. To maintain cleanliness and comfort, we kindly request that dogs refrain from resting on beds or furniture. Guests are encouraged to bring their own dog beds and bowls and ensure their furry companions stay hydrated in the Karoo heat.
